About the project
I collaborated with artist Adam Mandelman, founder of Strange Fur Industries, a “biotechnology” company that turns dreams into reality. Through research, art, and design, his work brings playful, more-than-human worlds to life.
Together, we documented three of his surreal creatures as they wandered through the forgotten corners of Amsterdam and IJmuiden. Blending textiles with unconventional materials, each piece explores the eerie, the absurd, and the uncanny within the cityscape.
Shambles stumbles through industrial ruins, searching for a greener world. Lulu prowls abandoned tram yards and old correctional facilities. The Window Worm creeps into city apartments, feeding on the quirks of urban life.
