About the project
The Canada C3 expedition was a 150-day journey from Toronto to Victoria through the Northwest Passage, designed by Geoff Green and the Students on Ice Foundation to connect Canada—coast to coast to coast. Along the way, we were joined by the Prime Minister of Canada, the Governor General, and other notable figures. For 150 days, it brought people together with communities across the country to celebrate Canada’s cultural and environmental diversity.
The process
As part of the onboard communications team, I helped turn the ship into a floating production studio. We delivered daily visual coverage, multi-camera broadcasts, and collaborated with museums and educators across Canada—all while sailing 23,000 km by sea. From shooting to post-production, every upload and stream came straight from the heart of the journey.
Since then, I’ve continued working with Students on Ice, joining Arctic expeditions from Greenland to the Canadian High Arctic, visiting Nunavut, Torngat National Park, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia—documenting life in some of the most remote and amazing places on Earth.
